Our Surgeons : Dr. JOSEPH A. FRANKLIN

Dr. Franklin, a North Carolina native, received his undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University and his medical degree from ECU-Brody School of Medicine. Dr. Franklin completed his residency in general surgery at Pitt County Memorial Hospital/Brody School of Medicine. More recently, he finished his training in plastic surgery at the University of Tennessee – Memphis.

Dr. Franklin will provide a wide range of plastic surgery services including the treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions, breast augmentation, reduction, and reconstruction and cosmetic surgery.

Additionally, Dr. Franklin serves as the medical director of the University Health Systems’ Craniofacial Clinic which serves to provide comprehensive evaluation, education, and intervention for people of Eastern Carolina with cleft lip, cleft palate, or other craniofacial anomalies.

Dr. Franklin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
